Special Needs Parents Sought for Study

Webb, Ph.D., is a Clinical Psychologist at East Tennessee State University and the parent of a child with Down syndrome. He is conducting a national survey of parents of children with special needs. He is interested in learning more about the experiences of these parents; how they cope with daily life stressors; and what the effects of care-giving may have on their physical and emotional health.

Assistive Technology Department Educates With YouTube Channel

Advancing Opportunities' Assistive Technology Team recently launched a YouTube Channel to promote the use of the tools and devices that help people with disabilities live independently.

Sandy Relief Modular Ramp Program Announced

The New Jersey Department of Human Services, Division of Disability Services (DDS) has announced funding is available to replace, repair or build modular ramps for individuals who require one at their Hurricane Sandy-impacted primary residences.
