Protecting the Rights of People with Disabilities

Advancing Opportunities is committed to advancing the independence of children and adults with all types of disabilities. To do this, we work every day to remove the barriers, physical and attitudinal, that prevent people with disabilities from achieving their goals.

Consumer Advocacy Program

Our Consumer Advocacy Program features a team of advocates who work closely with individuals and families to ensure they have access to all they are entitled to.

Information and Referral

The agency also features an Alliance of Information and Referral Systems (AIRS) certified Information and Referral Specialist who can help you find disability services and supports not provided by Advancing Opportunities.

Disability Rights

The struggle to ensure that the rights of children and adults with disabilities are recognized and upheld continues. Advancing Opportunities closely follows and supports legislation that improves conditions for people with disabilities on the local, state and national level. The agency works closely with other similar-minded organizations to provide a voice and momentum for disability rights.
