Residential Supports

three friends playing monopoly game around a dining room table At Advancing Opportunities we believe men and women with developmental disabilities have the right to reside where they want to. The agency provides residential programs that allow people with disabilities to live as independently as they are able in the communities and homes they choose.

Choices, Goals and Rights

The consumers we serve choose where they live. They direct their personal schedules and decide how they will spend their leisure time.

We encourage our consumers to participate in their communities. We facilitate interaction with other community members and help create connections.

man standing in kitchen pouring coffeeWe help people with disabilities develop and maintain relationships with family, friends and neighbors who provide natural supports to the individual.

We help with setting and achieving personal goals.

From encouraging exercise programs and helping them make the right choices in the grocery store to ensuring their access to quality health care that meets their individual needs, we help our consumers maintain good health.

We advise persons with disabilities of their rights and encourage them to exercise their rights. We help provide opportunities for due process when those rights are limited or abused.

We treat persons with disabilities with dignity and respect. We maintain their personal information in confidence and provide consumers space and time to be alone.

Advancing Opportunities offers Supported Living and Supervised Apartment options for men and women with developmental disabilities. The agency offers:

  • Opportunity to live alone or with other individuals
  • Fully-trained residential staff
