Registration Information

To participate in Parents' Night Out, children must be registered with DDD and must be pre-registered with Cerebral Palsy of New Jersey. For more information on pre-registering with Cerebral Palsy of New Jersey, contact Luann Weber at 908-979-1039 ext. 17.

Registration for each weekly event begins each Sunday and ends Wednesday at noon. You can register your child either by phone or website. Please note that most programs fill quickly - so register ASAP! If you do not receive a confirmation message by Thursday at noon, please call the Cerebral Palsy of New Jersey office to inquire about your registration.

Once registration is confirmed, please call the office if your child cannot attend and we will try to fill the spot with someone who may be on the wait list. Please note that "no shows" (or late cancellations) may be held responsible for ticketed events if the space cannot be filled.

All children must eat dinner before arriving at program unless otherwise noted. Please do not bring any personal items and/or toys that may get lost or broken. Please label all jackets, backpacks & lunchboxes with child's name! Check calendar weekly to see if a snack is needed and if there are any user fees involved. Cerebral Palsy of New Jersey has a hands-off behavior management philosophy therefore no participants will be physically restrained. Positive behavior is provided as much as possible.

September 26

The Rockaway Volunteer Fire Department will visit and bring information to share. Help us welcome them to learn about fire safety and get a tour of their fire truck. Please pack a snack and beverage for each child participating and wear a jacket or sweatshirt.

Apple Fest Night
We will be playing apple games, making apple crafts and guess what we will be having for snack? Please bring one of your favorite apples to share with your PNO friends. Dress warmly as we may go outside.

October 10
A Night of Laughs
Laugh the night away – we have invited the Hope-U-Well Clown Troupe for a night of fun! This volunteer group comes in festive costume to perform magic tricks, lead laughter yoga, sing and dance while gently encouraging participation from all. They are also bringing their cute little therapy dog for a visit. Bring your funny bone and pack a snack and beverage for each child.

Pizza and a Movie
We will be meeting at Pronto’s for pizza before the show> Please bring $5 per child for dinner and please be prompt as we will be ordering as a group and sitting in the back together. After dinner, we will walk to the theatre to see a G or PG movie. Please bring $12 for movie and a snack in an envelope with child’s name on front.

October 18
Fall Festival on the Farm
Visit the farm with your PNO friends and take a hayride, pick a pumpkin, try the new “pumpkin launchers” and pet the animals. Please dress in warm layers and wear shoes that may get wet and/or muddy. Bring a bag lunch and $10 for pumpkins, snack and activities.

Giggles Play Station
Children 10 and under are invited to a special musical Halloween Party with Ms. Paula! Lots of fun and surprises all night. children can wear costumes. Please bring $20 per child for admission, ride tickets, tokens, pizza and soda. Check out their website: www.gigglesplaystation.com
