Parents of children with disabilities often say that one of their biggest sources of stress is that they don’t have enough quality time for themselves. Weekend Recreation is a perfect way to eliminate some of this stress. It is a creative approach to the traditional drop-off respite program. While there, the participants will interact socially while engaging in coordinated activities.
What Activities are offered?
Participants can enjoy activities such as crafts, movies, bowling, theme nights and various seasonal activities. Our trained staff provides your each individual with the support they need and encourages new friendships among participants. Check out the Upcoming Calendar.
Who is eligible to participate?
Individuals who are registered with the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) and eligible for respite services through the family support system.
When & Where is the program offered?
The program is available in Passiac County and is typically held on Saturdays.
Registration Information
Registration for Saturday events must be done by noon on the preceding Wednesday.
If you do not register by Wednesday they may not be permitted to attend the recreation program for that weekend.
